MakerDAO plans to launch the first phase of “Endgame” in the summer, introducing new tokens and conducting SPK token airdrops
According to BlockBeats news, on March 13, MakerDAO founder Rune Christensen announced on his governance forum that the first phase of the “Endgame” plan will kick off in the summer of 2024, including new tokens, SubDAO, token economics, new Brands, as well as new user acquisition channels, aim to achieve exponential growth in DAI usage through the interaction of these elements. The first phase of "Endgame" will last for one month, during which new brands will be launched, and early users can receive additional revenue by signing up. The two newly launched tokens, NewStable and NewGovToken, along with the existing DAI and MKR tokens, will co-exist and support new features of the ecosystem. A new Lockstake Engine (LSE) subsequently came online to encourage long-term participation in governance. The first phase will also see the launch of NewBridge, connecting the Ethereum mainnet with major Layer 2, and kicking off the airdrop of Spark, Maker’s first SubDAO. The program will promote the growth and activity of the ecosystem by providing liquidity mining opportunities for new tokens, a reward system, and a community governance structure.
In addition, Christensen also revealed the next three phases of the “Endgame” plan: scaling up, the launch of NewChain, and the arrival of the final phase.
